Many feel that CMO - Cetyl Myristoleate - is a wonder supplement for joints. I've personally added it to other joint supplements when Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM no longer are helping my hounds as much as before. I've also used it with polyarthritic situations, and other immune mediated concerns. Studies have shown that it helps joint problems by lubricating, reducing inflammation, regulating the immune system, and reducing pain.
Originally discovered in 1964 by Dr. Harry Diehl, is an ester made from adding a cetyl alcohol molecule to the 14-carbon chain fatty acid myristoleic acid, a common fatty acid found in fish oils, dairy butter and animal fats.
Further studies in the 1990’s have noted that while CMO can help with the joint degeneration on its own, it is much more effective when combined with Glucosamine and digestive enzymes which are also available through Get Up & Go in a discounted package.
Dosage - Give 1/2 teaspoon (1100 mg) daily of CMO (with Glucosamine HCL and Digestive Enzymes). If there is diarrhea, give less initially, and add more after dog adjusts. If it is helping you should see positive changes within three weeks.
This CMO is 20% pure, which is higher than most other products. There are no fillers.
There are two sizes. Smaller Bottle, normally $49.95, contains enough for about 42 doses at 1100 mg a day. Larger bottle, normally $89.95, contains about 84 doses at 1100 mg a day. Both bottles are on sale at 50% off for a limited time.
