Remembrance

Death can happen on any day of any year. I try to love as hard and well as I can, while I can. And when loved ones leave me, I believe they do so, so I can love another - because there are always more beings that need love. And love makes the world go round.

I know that the love I'm left with is far more than the love I gave. And that love encourages, actually insists, that I go on to love others, because love given is so much more powerful than love received.

Focusing on the love given and received, versus the love lost, helps me move forward. To continue to give love, I feel, honors the love I received.

To help honor this love, the Greyhound Gang respectfully offers the following ideas with the passing of a loved greyhound.

You can also contact Circle of Greys. They are a support group of greyhound lovers, who help each other through sad times.

In Remembrance

When someone loses someone they love, it's sometimes hard to know what to say or give. Sarah Snavely of Art of the Greyhound has graciously offered to help us memorialize lost loves. Your donations to the Gang, for her medallion, will continue to help other hounds find love...all In Remembrance of a loved pet.

Medallion
An In Remembrance donation to the Gang will be honored with:

Memorial Medallion Memorial Medallion
Memorial Medallion & In Remembrance Card

When someone you know has to let their greyhound go, you can make a donation in their memory, and the Gang will send a medallion, with a beautiful card to honor your donation.

These large, four-inch, elegant, handcrafted, ceramic medallions will express your caring for your friend's sorrow, and your donation will continue to help greyhounds who need our help. Please do consider the cost of the medallions and cards when considering the donation to make, so hounds will benefit.

Additionally, the Gang offers Grief Oil, to help cope with the loss of a hound. When I lost 4 hounds in one year, I was having trouble sleeping at night. A friend gave me this oil, and that night, for the first time in months, I was able to sleep. It smells lovely, and uses aromatherapy that helps you process and deal with your grief.

Urns
We are no longer able to offer Urns, at this time, except in our Auctions. I'm hoping to find a local artist that might want to continue the tradition.
