I am a member of the ASPCA comunity and there is a group called Greyhounds are gifts. As I can only agree to that I became a member. I am the lucky owner of three ex-racing greyhounds and one whippet. One of my greys was found starving to death in Madrid Spain I picked him up at the airport in Copenhagen March 2005. Connor is born of two Irish exports. I brought Tristan home in December of last year he was emaciated teeth blakish grey with tartar. He is my hands on rescue and deeply loved. Darcy is my youngest I picked him up in Janurary of this year. I have a well integrated pack and they are all deeply loved familymembers. Keep up the good work that you do and if you ever need my support or help let me know. most sincerly Lisbeth Mønsted Larsen Greyhound Action Denmark.

Hi - I was adopted 27 December 2008 (or should I say chosen to be the forever home) by Homebush Wayne now known as Hoss - the burgeoning beginning of a long life with greyhounds. I had a small scare 3 months into the adoption and he has survived oral melanoma without reoccurance - touch wood. I'll never be without a grey at my side. I have never known a cuddly, more gentle stoic even secretive (he is alive in my presence)companion. Imagine a dog that not only tolerates but demands facial kisses, cuddles and squishes from EVERYONE.
Good for you, if it wasn't for people like you I'd never be part of Greyhounds as Pets in New Zealand!

  Hi Rhonda,

reading Bodie's story breaks my heart because it is almost 1 year ago since my Dutch grey passed away at almost 14 years old. I met him as a very neglected 1 year old boy and he has been my greyt friend for 13 years. His partial Irish spirit lives on in his three Irish relatives. One of them, my girl Tigresa, survived the spanish barcelona horror during 3,5 years. Last year I adopted two greys from her Irish homeground, my way to thank her for all the joy and love she brings me every day. Number 4 in my house is a spanish galgo from Scooby Medina. I am soooo proud of my dogs and indeed, they have changed my life,

Very best wishes,

Erna

These are the most beautiful dogs - I would love to get more involved with the Adopt-A-Greyhound program in Atlanta. Can you send me more information? Thanks!!
