Yorkie
As in most households, females rule! And Yorkie has ruled for 7 years, since she was 2 years old. Though she is in charge, she is a benevolent dictator, with a laid-back view of life. She walks like a lady on leash, waits her turn for dinner, is a registered therapy dog and expects everyone she meets to love her. But just when you start to think she's perfect, her escape artist ability kicks in. And the neighborhood bands together to call the Crowders and give them updates of where they last saw her running by...enjoying life.
Adam
Adam is the favorite son. At five, he'd been scheduled to be killed, but the trainer organized a secret GUR to save him. Adam made his way from FL through GA to NC, where he walked over to Jimmie and licked his hand. The rest, as they say, is history. Adam recently suffered a dislocated disk, but has made a miraculous recovery. This eight year old, even-tempered, loving boy knows he has a good home! Even if he has to live with Yorkie and Sure Shot's behaviors.
Sure Shot
Sure Shot has a tale that's "sad, but true." He was the ugly duckling of the kennel. Stuck there for eight months, he was hyper, had a broken tail, and no manners with the pack. The Crowders would come and walk him, and feel so sorry for this pitiful boy. His teeth would chatter when they left, and he'd stick his lower jaw out. He'd been the only surviving pup of a 10-yearr-old brood bitch, and had never really learned to integrate with other greyhounds. Well, they just couldn't leave him behind any more. This 4 year old boy has joined their family. Each day he starts to understand more and more, and never hesitates to show his love for them.
