Fast Jack's Blur of Fur Run

What: Humans will entice their hounds to run down a strip of grass. Radar will note speed.

When: Saturday, May 1, 2 pm - 4 pm

Where: Kanab Elementary School - 100 W, at end of grassy portion where temporary fencing is constructed

Who: Gathering participants - on a first come, first served basis.

How:

  • Owner goes part way down the run
  • Volunteer holds the dog
  • Owner yells for their dog, and takes off running
  • Volunteer lets dog go
  • Person runs
  • Hopefully dog runs
  • People laugh
  • Radar gun clocks the dog, not the human...hopefully
  • Crowds cheer  :-)

Rules:

  • Volunteers are in charge.
  • Humans/hounds wishing to participate will line up.
  • No squawkers can be used.
  • Humans and Hounds must participate together.
  • Only one hound/human combo at a time, though if you have two dogs that live and play together you can run them together if muzzled. You still need one human though. Ribbons awarded to all participants. Special Fast Jack prizes to the fastest - and funniest and slowest - and who knows what else  :-)
