I Love America Contest

Send in photos until 7/8 for the I Love America Contest. Visit our Auction starting 6/29. 9 pm. MT. and ending 7/13. Over 20 items, 100% to the hounds.

Below is a chart of all the contests, with dates for emailing pictures and dates for admiring/voting. You're allowed to vote qa lot daily. Please don't write programs, it screws everything up, and I'll have to cancel the contests. I so love seeing all these well loved hounds, and I'd like the contests to continue.

SEND A PHOTO - GUIDELINES

Here's how it works. You email pertinent photos to me during the entering photos time. Greyhound or greyhound mix pictures only. (Please read the guidelines below, as I cannot accept photos unless sent correctly) Then, the last two weeks of the month, while the auction is on hiatus, photos will be admired/voted on by other greyhound lovers. The most admired photo and my personal pick photo will be displayed here the following month, and the hounds will receive a prize from Greyhound Gang.

Email your digital photos to Claudia. Please follow these rules:
1. Your email subject line says - Contest Name, with the dog's name also in the Subject line.
2. One photo per family, at this time, please. Submitter's name must be in the email.
3. CLEAR & In Focus. NO red or green or weird eyes. No fuzzy pictures. Etc.
4. JPG or GIF only. Attached, not imbedded, in email. Name the photo with dog name.
5. Photos will be displayed as sent. So crop before you send if needed.
6. Reasonably big, but not too big (i.e. too big is 1 MB or larger. ) 350 by XXX is the smallest size to send.
7. Best if subject is distinct from background. i.e. mostly dog in picture without lots of background disturbance
8. Picture must fit contest. For instance: I Love America - it's hounds and red, white and blue

ADMIRE A HOUND

At the end of every auction, admiration voting will happen. Photos will be displayed from those you have sent, which meet the guidelines above. Your peers will admire/vote on those photos for the last two weeks of each month. Admiration begins on a Monday at 9 pm MT, and ends on a subsequent Monday at 9 pm MT. Contest dates appear in the table above, and on the front page of the web site. The most admired photo and my personal pick photo will appear on the Gang's web site the following month.

Note: You can admire/vote every day. Even more than once a day. However, because of abuse with program writing that overwhelmed the server, we have had to change the voting, yet again. Please do not write programs. Please. You can still vote every few minutes, though.

Percentages vs numbers will be shown. If as you vote, your percentage goes down, it just means that someone else is voting at the same time, and voting more for their favorite hound. Keep voting, and your percentage will go up. Google Ads will appear on the thank you page, in an attempt to pay the programmer for all the changes.

Prizes: Prizes are at the discretion of Greyhound Gang and are always good . A prize is given for most admired hound, and for my personal pick.
