Don't forget to visit our Auction. The first two weeks of every month, over 25 items for your viewing and bidding pleasure. Every penny helps hounds. You get super gifts for yourself and the people you love, and more hounds are helped.

Tales

In February we're looking for Cover Photos for our 2nd edition of Greyhound Tales. We're reprinting it, and updating it with the still fantastic stories inside, and a new front and back cover. Your photo could adorn this cover. Email your photos, and I'll choose. Winner(s) will get $50 Gift Certificate for Greyhound Gang items. You can send me a low resolution photo, but you'll need to have a high resolution photo if you win. Results will be posted in mid-March.

In March, we'll be asking for your opinion on the best vacation spot with your hounds. Greyhound Gathering - Kanab as a vacation spot is accepted. :)

SEND A PHOTO - GUIDELINES

Here's how it works. You email pertinent photos to me. Greyhound pictures only. (Please read the guidelines below, as I cannot accept photos unless sent correctly) If this is for the regular photo contest, then, the last two weeks of the month, photos will be voted on by other greyhound lovers. The winning photo will be displayed on the Contest Page the following month, and the hound will win a prize from Greyhound Gang. The Greyhound Tales Cover Photo Contest is just submission of pictures.

Email your digital photos to Claudia. Please follow these rules:
1. Your email subject line says - Contest Name, with the dog's name also.
2. One photo per family, at this time, please. Submitter's name must be in the email.
3. CLEAR & In Focus. No weird eyes. No fuzzy pictures. Etc.
4. JPG or GIF only
5. Photos will be displayed exactly as sent. So crop before you send if needed.
6. Reasonably big, but not too big (i.e. too big is 1 MB or larger. ) 400 by XXX is the smallest size to send.
7. Best if subject is distinct from background. i.e. mostly dog in picture without lots of background disturbance
8. Picture must fit contest. For instance, Bedroom Eyes means close-ups of a dog's face so eyes are featured. See Logan in this month's contest. PERFECT. Hound pictures that didn't feature eyes should be sent in for another contest. Another for instance: Black is Beautiful. Guess what - only pictures of beautiful black greyhounds. :)

VOTE FOR A HOUND

At the end of every auction, contest voting will happen. Photos will be displayed from those you have sent. Those photos will be voted on by your peers for the last two weeks of each month. Voting usually begins on a Monday at 9 pm MT, and ends on a subsequent Monday at 9 pm MT. Contest dates for voting appear in the table below, and on the front page of the web site. The winning photo will appear on the Gang's web site the following month. A prize will be awarded to the human that loves the most voted hound.
